Modern websites use some form of Content Management System (CMS) on the server, to accomplish the objective of the site — be it a wiki, weblog or forum. Some websites combine these functions, either by combining CMS applications or by using an all-in-one approach. Site users and site administrators are rarely happy with the results, especially as site visits increase. Slow-loading pages limit a website's market reach, and cost more to operate in terms of bandwidth, processing, power and cooling requirements.
